It seems like the #1 requested feature I've heard lately is internal GPS so people can use their phone for navigation and locating nearby venues. What's the feature you would most like to see in the Google phone?

Until the Google Phone becomes a reality, I recommend the Sprint Mogul (HTC PPC-6800). The ultimate Pocket PC mobile phone.

This would be a no-brainer for google too, because they could start selling geographically-triggered advertising.

Slow day at your restaurant? Fire up a GeoCoupon in your Google advertising interface. Suddenly people with a Gphone that get within 1000 yards of your location get a beep, and your coupon for a free dessert with every entrie pops up.

Build a demographic on your users, and you can tailor the offerings.  Free kids meal if people are in "parents" demographic. Buy one get one drinks if they are in college.

It could make Google ads more relevant than ANY other type of advertising.

That's a great point and an excellent example of how advertising is supposed to be a positive thing all around...not just something to annoy people.

I trust google to come up with all the features you could ever need, based on everything else they have released. They always research well to find out what they want, meaning that services like GoogleMail are of a much higher standard than others available.

As far as features go, I'd like to see a good all round phone. I don't want to have to carry around 4 or 5 different things in my pockets, so it would be great if it could include software for drafting letters or creating slideshows. It would need a massive memory though, with a card slot as well. I like to be able to use a phone as a music player, with good quality speakers as well as a universal headphone jack.

I could go on ..

So we meet again ...

I love mobile phones but not 1 satisfies all the needs.

Here is a list of things that I would like to see in a mobile phone.

The design could be the white version Gphone, wouldnt mind at all:

Large touchscreen, support for mp3, aac and other music types (good music player I would suggest VLC, with excelent peakers and earphones and yeah the regular jack no specially made headphone jacks). Divx, Xdiv, real codec, qt codec windows codec (not the player) and other movie types support (I would suggest Dvix with additional codec). Java & FLASH games and application support. TV on mobile, Radio.

Good office tools for presentations, office works spread sheets. Since it's should be a touch screen a good photo/ video editing/viewing program and a good design program.

Camera 5mpx (with a blitz, authfocus, and 3x optical zoom, Carl Zeiss lense), for a cell phone u dont need more then that and 30fps for video recording. Long lasting battery. More original Phonebook and better Phonebook search then other phones. Messeging system that includes instant messeging not only for google but for otherhers too. Ofcourse calender, alarm that would actually wake u up in the morning (lol). Voice recorder, world clock, converter, notes, timer, calc, stopwatch.

A good File system menager. That is a good file browser that has access to the system files.

IR controler for TV, Stereo systems ...

Bluetooth (any) Media player controler.

GPS navigation and check point setter. Compas.

Connections: GPRS, GPS, IR, USB, Bluetooth, W-Lan abgn, 3G... (PTT)

Would love to see Mozilla Firefox and ThunderBird on it too. Or some browser specially made for Gphone cause google has good porgramers and I know when their stuff is on the line they make it look and feel good.

Lots of processign speed and lots of memory. Memory card slot.

A good software for transfering files music movies...

A visual projector that u can project movies, presentations ....

AND THE THING THAT WOULD LOVE TO SEE IS THAT IT WOULD BE LINUX BASED SYSTEM and not Symbian (s60, s80, s90), Symbian (UIQ), Windows Mobile, ...

If I forgot something I shall write it in but for now that's it. :)

Ain't I humble.

VGA output, so I can connect the phone directly to a video projector; preferably with a higher resolution than the phone screen, e.g. 800x600 or 1024x768.

Also, TV output, to connect to a TV set for watching photos and videos.
